Acropolis Site
Acropolis Site is a must visit for any new visitor of Athens to experience firsthand the monuments of Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheum and Parthenon. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Athens around the hill and sightsee the nearby monuments such as the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the Ancient Theatre of Dionysus at the south slope of the Acropolis hill. Oversee the Plaka area with the picturesque little houses and the Roman and Ancient Agora with the Temple of Hephaestus standing proudly to the north.
Acropolis Museum
Acropolis Museum opened in 2009 and it is already considered one of the top 5 museums in the world. Following the exhibits from ground floor upwards you go through the Athens and the Acropolis hill history. Admire the original Caryatides placed at the second floor and the remaining Parthenon decorative sculptures at the third floor. This is an option part as an alternative to Ancient Agora – Monastiraki.
On-Vehicle City Tour
During the on-vehicle city tour you will visit Temple of Zeus passing by Emperor Hadrian’s Arched Gate and next you will admire the Panathenaic Stadium, built on ancient stadium traces and used for the first modern Olympic games in 1896. You will be chauffeured around modern city and take a short stop to watch the change of guards, photo-shooting the Parliament (Old Royal Palace), the Presidential Residence and the Neoclassical trilogy of Athens namely the Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Athens University and the National Library. The on-vehicle city tour ends up the Lycabettus hill for a breathtaking city view and shooting that one and only selfie with the Acropolis in the background (Lycabettus hill is not accessible when the tour is with a minibus).
Ancient Agora - Monastiraki
Visit Ancient Agora to find yourself at the same grounds where Athenians were meeting to trade, socialise and exercise politics in the ancient times. Admire the most well preserved ancient temple, the temple of Hephaestus. Visit the Stoa of Attalos and explore the findings in the area exhibited in the building once was the mall of the time! Take a walk further to the north through the Monastiraki area and the flea market. This is an option part as an alternative to Acropolis Museum.
Free time - Greek Lunch - Plaka
A tour in Greece would not be complete without taking the time to enjoy a lunch full of tastes of the renowned Greek cuisine. Let your driver suggest you several alternatives, mainly off the beaten track restaurants and taverns or let us drive you at that tavern you have spotted in your trusted guidebook. Later stroll Plaka neighbourhood or enjoy shopping at Ermou Str.
